Netanya is preparing for an emergency – Tsunami scenario

Message from the Netanya Municipality.
“Dear residents,
As part of the nationwide preparations of the Netanya Municipality, the Israel Police and the National Emergency Authority in the Ministry of Defense there will be an exercise in case of a tsunami scenario on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the Poleg beach
* There may be a 2-minute low-rise alarm in the morning
* There may be road closures in the Ramat Poleg and Ir Yam neighborhoods between the hours of 8 am and 2:30 pm
There may be heavy traffic of security vehicles in the neighborhood.

We apologize for the temporary inconvenience and would like to cooperate with the security forces and municipal representatives”

Nationwide Practice drill for Earthquakes – June 13, 2017

Between the dates 11-15 June, the IDF, Home Front Command, the local authorities, the police, firefighters, and Magen David Adom are taking part in a practice drill to improve their abilities in case of an earthquake in Israel.

On Tuesday, 13 Junen, 2017 at 10:05 am, we are all taking part in a practice drill and are practicing how to conduct ourselves the correct way in case of an earthquake.

From the world’s experience it is proven that early preparation of the public towards earthquakes and proper conduct can save lives and minimize the damage and injuries.

Netanya marks the 50th anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem

A tribute concert to Jerusalem marking the 50th anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem, in the new Independence Square.

Tuesday, 6.6.17 at 20:30
With the participation of the Netanya Kibbutz Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Shmuel Elbaz.
The concert will be accompanied by a presentation that will be screened on the screens in the square and will bring you the atmosphere, sites and landscapes of Jerusalem.
