Early reminder about the upcoming clock change.

In Israel, Daylight Saving Time comes to an end on the last Sunday of October, when clocks are set back, by one hour.

Oct 29, 2017 – Daylight Saving Time Ends when local time is about to reach Sunday, October 29, 2017, 02:00:00 clocks are turned backward 1 hour to
Sunday, October 29, 2017, 01:00:00 local standard time instead.

Sunrise and sunset will be about 1 hour earlier on Oct 29, 2017 than the day before. There will be more light in the morning.


Mandatory driving regulations and road safety tips for Israel

LIGHTS ON!
In Israel, from November 1st when the winter months officially begin, it is mandatory for all drivers to turn their vehicle headlights on when driving on inter-city roads. (Bus drivers, taxi drivers and truck drivers must keep their headlights on city roads as well as inter-city roads).
This requirement remains in effect until March 31st.

The Netanya Triathlon (and road closures) 20.10.17

The 15th Netanya Triathlon will be held on Friday, 20.10.17 from 06:30 on the Lagoon Beach (Argaman).

An important message to bathers and surfers at Netanya’s beaches

Due to the end of the bathing season Netanya Municipality informs bathers about the closure of the rescue stations on Netanya beaches (life guard stations) starting on Wednesday, 25.10.17 at the end of the bathing day.

Station No. 1 at Sanz Beach and Station No. 9 at Poleg Beach will be closed for bathing as of Thursday, 19.10.17 At the end of the bathing day, Sironit Beach A (Station No. 5) will continue to operate for the winter swimmers from 8:30 to half an hour before sunset and at winter time from 8:00 to sunset.
Unprotected bathing is prohibited and life-threatening
The public is asked not to approach the cliffs, both on the upper part as a lookout and at their base because of the danger of collapse!
